Miami Heat riddled with injuries heading into Game 7
Tyler Herro ruled out
Heat to host Celtics in do-or-die matchup
The Miami Heat are facing a laundry list of injuries heading into their do-or-die Game 7 matchup against the Boston Celtics on Friday night. The team released its injury report on Thursday, and it was not a pretty sight.
Tyler Herro, one of the Heat's most important players, has been ruled out for the game with a right groin strain. He suffered the injury in Game 6 and did not return. Herro is averaging 17.9 points per game in the playoffs and is a key part of Miami's offense.
In addition to Herro, the Heat are also dealing with injuries to Kyle Lowery (left hamstring strain), Jimmy Butler (right knee inflammation), and P.J. Tucker (right calf strain). All three players are listed as questionable for Game 7.
The Celtics, meanwhile, are relatively healthy. They have no major injuries to report and are expected to be at full strength for Game 7.
The Heat will need to overcome their injuries if they want to win Game 7 and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. It will be a tough task, but it is one that they are capable of.
