The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 29 points, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points. Kristaps Porzingis returned from a calf injury to score 19 points for the Mavericks, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' hot shooting.

The Celtics took control of the game early, jumping out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter. They continued to extend their lead in the second quarter, and took a 17-point lead into halftime. The Mavericks made a run in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 8 points, but the Celtics responded with a run of their own to take a 20-point lead into the fourth quarter.

The Celtics never looked back in the fourth quarter, and cruised to a 107-89 victory. The Celtics were led by Tatum, who was 11-of-19 from the field and 6-of-11 from three-point range. Brown was also efficient, shooting 9-of-15 from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range.

The Mavericks were led by Porzingis, who was 7-of-14 from the field. Luka Doncic also had a solid game, finishing with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. However, the Mavericks were unable to keep up with the Celtics' hot shooting, and they shot just 37.8% from the field.

The Celtics will host the Mavericks in Game 2 on Thursday night.
