Expected to Further Raise Dam's Water Level

The La Mesa Dam and Reservoir is an earth dam in Quezon City Philippines Its reservoir can hold up to 505 million cubic meters 1780 million cubic feet. According to the water concessionaire La Mesa Dam is currently at 7844 meters just 171 meters below its spilling level. The water level of La Mesa dam is nearing spilling level amid the heavy rains brought about by Typhoon Carina. State meteorologists said on Friday that the water level of La Mesa Dam in Novaliches a former town now divided between Quezon City and Caloocan City is expected to rise due to rains brought by Typhoon Carina.
