Strikes Come After Diplomatic Visit

KYIV, Ukraine - Russian missiles struck a renowned children's hospital in Kyiv on Thursday, causing widespread destruction and terror. The attack was part of a heavy barrage that targeted the Ukrainian capital as well as central and eastern regions of the country.

The missile strike on the children's hospital partially destroyed the building and sent patients and staff fleeing in panic. Witnesses reported seeing terrified children and their families running for cover as the explosions shook the building.

The attack on Kyiv came just hours after a visit to the city by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Guterres had met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the humanitarian crisis caused by the Russian invasion.
