Houston Astros beat Cincinnati Reds, 3-2, with walk-off single from Jonathan India

Astros improve to 20-16, Reds fall to 16-19

The Houston Astros beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 on a walk-off single from Jonathan India in the bottom of the ninth inning on Saturday night at Great American Ball Park.

India's walk-off single scored Jose Barrero from second base, giving the Reds their third walk-off win of the season.

The Astros took an early lead in the game, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning off Reds starter Hunter Greene.

The Reds came back to tie the game in the bottom of the third inning on a two-run home run by Joey Votto.

The game remained tied until the bottom of the ninth inning, when India came up with the game-winning hit.

Astros starter Luis Garcia was solid in his outing, allowing just two runs on six hits in six innings of work.

He struck out seven batters and walked one.

Reds starter Hunter Greene struggled in his outing, allowing two runs on four hits in just 2 2/3 innings of work.

He struck out five batters and walked three.

India's walk-off single was his third hit of the game.

He finished the game 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

The Reds are now 3-3 in walk-off games this season.

The Astros are 2-1 in walk-off games.

The two teams will meet again on Sunday afternoon in the finale of their three-game series.

The Astros will send Jake Odorizzi to the mound, while the Reds will start Nick Lodolo.
